Well, a long long got day today through mountains and lovely scenes. Then on the ferry across the danube river into Bulgaria. Very hot...

Well - three countries today.

We stopped in a deserted village today and had lunch outside a derelict factory.

Topday was a struggle with the hills. We met up with  6 other team that we camped with.

People just look at the car in disbelief over here.

Rain, rain, rain - that's all we seem to be getting at the moment.

Wow... we left at 0700 for the ferry over which started great as the ferry terminal staff forgot to take our tickets ..so thanks guys..for not paying attention to the car with the giant boat ontop..i think that they were just emencely scared of it.


WE arrived at Goodwood and were ushered to the front of the Jacky Stewart stadium as one of the cool vehicles.There was a fine display of machinery out for all today to see.Our sail went up and the Island flag was flown proud.Later our Families joined us and were amazed at the size of the event.Im really going to miss Hayley and the boy´s.

Today we had a Royal send off ...yes thats right´Prince Charles during his Island visit came and spoke with us about our Adventure at Ryde Fire Station,we were very honoured.

Seb was the only person rallying stuff today and got busy with wiring in speakers to the car so now we can listen to …..ROCK..... all the way across to central Asia.

Car wash day at the Fire station,it was a great turn out from the Station crew and a massive thanks to them all as they raised 170 pound for the Childrens foundation and 50 pound for the Benevolent fund all in the rain...

The bellypans are on at last..so now we have a Titanium rear end and a steel re-enforced front,now we are ´Mine proof` but were not going through Iran so at least we have the protection any way.Many a nerve was tested but we couldn,t have done it without Andy from the Forge,he is a legend and saved up countles hour and maybe days infact.
We are still waiting for our Tyres...

Every confidence was there today ,we awoke with the enthusiasm of a Schoolboy in a milk bottle factory with a shiny new catapult and bag of ball bearings. Today started with a Ring from Jim at ATS Euro master,GREAT news he has ordered us some AVON tyres for our spanking steel wheels that will see our Chariot all the way to Mongolia (of course we wont get any punctures).

Today was the last of our Grand Tombolas,a sad thing we know but the old fair great has served us very well thanks to the likes of 'Value 4 U´ and ´Johns shop´ of East Cowes who have helped us with the prizes.

An Early start for the intrepid Seb by 9:30 he had already blocked the side walk with the interior of our car …..we were stripping it out to shed some weight. We had a good plan today. We would get the car on the ramps up at the garage. We would then have  oceans of space to measure our stencil and cut anf fit the steel belly pans. We started early so we would be able to get at least one bit done and maybe even start on the second.
