Hi folks, a rollercoaster day today.

It’s been a very hard slog trying to sort our drive shaft. And at one point we almost resorted to jacking up a swift down the road and pinching theirs from underneath. Instead, after a quick meeting with Steve, we decided to swallow our pride and beg at the Suzuki ...

...dealership. Keith, the manager a fellow we had met a while ago, was able to do us a deal 10% of the original price. Still £270!! Now we know why it’s called a drive SHAFT.

It’ll be here Monday or Tuesday. So fingers crossed our car will be back on the road by the middle of next week! And our amazing drive shaft the newest part to our car…well when we make it to Ulaanbaatar we’ll be taking that home and mounting it above the mantel piece.

Transcontinental Endurance Racing.

During a long conversation with a very one track minded RAC promoter who was very intent on getting his sales pitch across and not biting at any of the little lures or hints (including wearing a Mongol Rally t-shirt) Ross was dangling out. He did manage to come up with a very good term for what our adventure is. He called it TRANSCONTINENTAL ENDURANCE RACING. How good is that!!
