What can I say about Australia well I could talk forever about this trip but will save you that labour of reading?

I stayed in Sydney with a friend that had recently moved there for a few weeks then bought an OZ Experience...

... ticket to travel up north then down the middle of Australia and then along the south coast back to Sydney.

My first stop out of Sydney and one of my most loved places I have ever been to “Nundle”, It is a small Mountain town in the Hills of Gold New South Wales, Here I stayed in an old Shearer’s quarters on a sheep station with some other backpackers and Australians.

After around 4 months I travelled around the rest of Australia and then went back to Nundle for the remainder of the year, The people I made friends with there and the things I done will remain with me forever it was like being back in Linford but with Beer, Real Rifles, explosives and V8’s ,I loved it there so much that I went back to Nundle 3 years later when I was 23 yrs old and lived in the same house again with Mullet and Craig.

I will also be returning back to Oz with my Partner Hayley in March 2009 to visit friends and go travelling eventually ending up in Tasmania for our Friend Jason’s Wedding.

After coming back from Australia the first time I regained contact with my childhood friends and fellow band members. We had all grown up but were all still the same in spirit it was like the 4 years apart had never happened. That summer me and a Friend Wai Kay moved over to Sweden and then later drove back through Denmark, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France then back to England. That Winter I also went back to Sweden for a short While.

I was around in England doing various work from retail and a long stint of Landscape gardening.

During this time me and my friend Ally were quite daring on a small adventure we set for our selves we decided to go to Holland but not the conventional way we wanted to see if we could get there for free and through the back door to add an element of danger and risk for ourselves, We had our plan to try and Board a container ship posing as Crew and get to Holland then Back again doing the same thing. We got hold of 2 hard hats with Tilbury docks emblem stamped on the front and purchased 2 Fluorescent high visibility jackets, We had the outfits now it was time to test our nerve!

We approached a ship that was in Dock and boarded we asked crew where the Captain was and were  shown to the top of the ship in to the control room where there was a very friendly Dutch captain who offered us coffee as we sold our story “sure no problem, have you got passports?” was the answer. We had so we had made the first part of this mission, the trip was over night and we had to share a very small cabin made for one. The next morning we were docking in Rotterdam, we thanked the captain who had now given us a list of ships that were to leave that docking area back to England. We walked straight past security with no questions in our disguises and went to wait for a bus to the train station. The Journey home wasn’t going to be that easy!

Around 5 days later we donned our disguises and went back to the same docking area that we arrived at. When we go to security and started to tell them that we had missed our ship “The Herraastraatt”. Which we had taken from the list for the previous days sailings, they just told us to go through and there were 2 other ships sailing to England and go to see them. Off we went with every confidence in our plan little knowing how large the docking area was and how maze like it was. We eventually found around 3 ships and were offered passage to Africa, Ireland and England via a route I can’t remember.

We had to decline as we couldn’t find the ships we wanted, we ended up getting lost in the dock for about 6 hours after that and were toying with the idea of sleeping in massive steel pipes we had found or trying to find our way out as it was 2am and cold.  We eventually found a way to a road and called a taxi. The next day this time in the morning we tried the same tactic but were more successful and the day after that we were on a Ship back to Tilbury. An Adventure I will never forget and loved the whole disguise part of.

Later at the age of 23 I went back to Australia for a while, then came home and had various Jobs from Suspension engineering to local council work, when I was 26 I met Hayley and Brennan and fell in Love with the both of them we stayed in Essex for around a year then Moved to the Isle of Wight where I live now. When we moved here I took a job as an Instructor at a place called Little Canada and taught Children how to Abseil, climb, snorkel, and lots of other cool things, This is where I met my Team mate Seb. I had a little boy in 2006 and also became a Fire Fighter at local the Fire station.

Next step Australia again and the Rally...
