Even to this Day I love to go back and wonder around these areas in Linford there is a group of us...
...that try to meet up when we can to go and wonder around the old “pit” and “woods”.
I played in a Band for a while whilst in the last years of school and this was another big part of Linford life for me as it has set me up with confidence and coupled with the practical adventure skills attained through childhood games and also many close calls to broken limb’s and near death experiences in the woods and pit I was practically trained as an Indiana Jones (childhood hero and also still is).
I left school and went on a trip at 16 yrs old to Prague with My older Cousin Bradley and Two of his Friends that were about 20 at the time, this whole new world of freedom from Parents, beer and the whole Prague scene was a huge eye opener for this little village boy from Linford.
I worked for the next 4 years in retail and then one lunch time at work for my Dad’s Business I came back and had booked an Open ended ticket to Sydney Australia for 4 weeks time.
